The fidget ruler was created to understand the properties of wood and metal combined together. The goal was to build an abstract object that used an existing mechanism using only wood and metal. I got inspired by the catapult mechanism to create this abstract-looking fidget object. Both welding and bending metal were techniques that were discovered.
