Dandy Co.

Dandy Co. is a versatile tote bag that firstly provides a sustainable alternative to other methods of carrying items, such as plastic bags. The yellowish color of the bag was attained by dyeing the fabric using dandelions and a mix of other natural elements before sewing the bag together. The inside of the bag was also dyed using onion peel. Everything was hand-made with a conscious goal to waste as little product as possible. On the backside of the tote, there is a QR code that leads to a recipe book filled with some of the many uses of the dandelion plant, from its head to its roots. This would educate our society on just how many uses for dandelion exist and allow for a healthy way of maintaining the dandelion population. The main goal is to rebuild the relationship between humans and dandelions once again. The book being an online document allows the bag to be fully sustainable and keeps the recipes alive for much longer than they would be in print.
